SEEDLING NURSERY
For the beginning and renewal of coffee plantations, we have a coffee seedling nursery from selected seeds or from selected plant clones.
Our nursery is regulated by the Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuaria (IMA) and the Registro Nacional de Sementes e Mudas (RENASEM) by the Ministry of Agriculture. We use 80 holes bags to promote better development, productivity and reduction of possible diseases.
For planting substrate, careful and balanced handling is performed, which avoids problems with nematodes and soil fungi, as well as promoting proper seedling nutrition. For irrigation, sustainable rainwater collection is carried out through an autonomous and controlled system, so that each plant receives the required amount.
MONITORING OF PRODUCTION
To ensure higher quality products, we provide leaf and soil analysis, performed in partner laboratories. Thus, each producer or plantation may request a technical report that helps to clearly identify the specific needs of the tillage minimizing fertilizer waste, reducing the use of pesticides and consequently saving resources and reducing environmental damage.
With this monitoring, we can see more homogeneous, larger harvests and better quality grains.
COFFEE CLASSIFICATION
For the classification of coffees, we receive samples from our production or from partner producers. Then, they are classified strictly following the standards of analysis of physical aspects, roasting and sample testing, according to the protocols of the methodologies COB (Brazilian Official Classification) and / or SCAA (Association of Specialty Coffee of America).
COFFEE BENEFIT
After the classification of the coffees, they are selected and segregated in a way that meets the type and quality needs requested by each customer. Nowadays the raw coffee processing is made by desymmetric sieves, electronic selectors, among others, located in Caparaó and Tombos warehouses.
